Introduction

The references in this bibliography cover the major sub-fields of anthropology. There is a vast number of literature on anthropological theories, obviously it is impossible for me to include all of them. In selecting items for inclusion in this bibliography I have been guided primarily by the following criteria: trying to cover the common anthropological knowledge; paying special attention to cultural anthropology, especially the up-to-date research trends in ethnicity and identity; culture and personality; symbol and power; economic exchanges and social relationships, and critical and reflective works.
